Purpose Statement:

To assist in providing supervision to a group of installation personnel for activities including installation of furniture, repairs, moves, and deliveries. Position ensures that installation team provides exceptional customer service through high quality work.


Essential Functions:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Ensure that projects are completed according to schedule and customer expectations.
  • Communicate with dispatch daily to get assignments and schedules.
  • Work closely with safety manager on any safety related issues.
  • Work closely with the accounting department to turn in receipts for reimbursement and billable charges to jobs.
  • Assist in controlling outside overhead expenses incurred during installation.
  • Review project scope with appropriate salesperson.
  • Assist warehouse when items are returned to and taken out of the warehouse.
  • Assist in documenting disciplinary action as required with feedback to Team Supervisor and Human Resources.
  • Prepare and maintain reports, including DVIR, Bill of Lading and Disposal forms.
  • Ensure proper and safe installation and handling techniques are employed during projects.
  • Communicate daily work plan to team members, including breaks and redirection.
  • Assist with physical aspect of project as required.
  • Ability to learn and retain knowledge of multiple types of commercial furniture, including product lines, components, configurations, assembly methods, and installation requirements.
Requirements:

  • Ability to lead a crew and serve as a direct report for crew sizes that range from two to over 25 people.

  • Knowledge of word, excel, e-mail, and data base programs.
  • Must be able to perform all physical aspects of an Installer and Lead positions.


Qualifications – Education and Experience:

  • 1-3 years’ experience in moving/installation
  • 3-5 years’ experience leading large projects
