Job description

We're at Facility Doctors looking for Commercial HVAC/Refrigeration and Kitchen Equipment Technician installs, maintains, and repairs food service appliances, refrigeration systems (walk-ins, ice machines), and HVAC units (roof-top units) in restaurants and commercial facilities. Candidates need strong , EPA certification, and the ability to diagnose issues independently.

Core Responsibilities

-Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and repair commercial refrigeration (walk-ins, freezers, display cases), HVAC systems, and kitchen cooking equipment (ovens, fryers, steamers, dishwashers).

-Preventative Maintenance: Perform regular checks, clean coils, check refrigerant levels, and replace filters to ensure optimal performance.

-Installation: Assist with or perform the installation of new refrigeration units and kitchen appliances.

-Customer Service: Communicate repair status to clients, explain malfunctions, and provide recommendations.

-Documentation: Accurately complete service reports, manage vehicle inventory/parts, and maintain safety standards (EPA, OSHA).

-Emergency Service: Respond to on-call or emergency repair requests to minimize of experience in HVAC/R, ideally within a commercial kitchen environment.

-Technical Knowledge: Strong circuits, gas components, and plumbing.

-Certifications: EPA Section 608 Certification (required for handling refrigerants).

-Licensing: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

-Physical Stamina: Ability to work in confined spaces, lift heavy equipment, and climb ladders.
