Job description

Department: Installation

Supervisor: Operations Manager

Hours: Minimum 40 hours per week

Shift - Monday–Friday 5:00am-3:30pm

Most - Saturdays 5:00am–11:00am

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Team Lead, you would be expected to oversee successful installations at our commercial sites. This is a mentor role, you must have the ability to lead a team with respect for our staff, as well as the ability to communicate professionally with our clients. Reporting to the Operations Manager and Installation Supervisor, this role would be the bridge between management, our crews and our clients. This is a hands-on position, and responsible for installing office furniture in various residential, commercial and industrial locations throughout the Midwest region on clients' jobsites. Responsibilities include but are not limited to Safety Procedures for all installations and the safe use of hand tools, power tools, woodworking tools and more, for installing furniture. Ensure product quality is the highest level expected while interfacing with clients regularly. A Class C driver's license is desired, or the ability to get the Class C license with a current good driving record. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Interface with clients to ensure complete communication and understanding of project(s)
  • Communicate with Supervisor and other Team Members to ensure safe, efficient flow of project installation/construction
  • Work with the Installation Team members to safely Install/Place various products for different clients' projects
  • Perform quality control to ensure all products are the highest level as expected for Rieke Interiors
  • Utilize Safety Procedures at the Warehouse and on all Jobsites
  • Install/Construct furniture efficiently with all necessary and required safety measures followed
  • Use best construction methods to improve efficiency when possible
  • Lead installations to completion and troubleshooting issues that arise during projects
  • Assist in training team members to ensure best construction methods and standardized practices
  • Additional duties performed as directed by the Executive Management Team and Installation Team Supervisor

Operating Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

Education/Training:

  • Combination of 3+ years' experience and education installing/constructing furniture or performing carpentry in construction.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, woodworking tools safely
  • Experience performing quality control for completed projects
  • Experience moving commercial furniture
  • Experience with Customer Service

Experience/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Prior successful leadership responsibilities required
  • Work in a Team Environment, interacting with diverse types of people, remain mentally alert, with mindfulness and firm reasoning skills while constantly working to improve.
  • Ability to perform multiple movements and positions with lifting and moving 75lbs. or more safely and consistently.
  • Experience safely performing job activities including operation of equipment including power tools, hand tools, woodworking tools, etc.
  • Understanding English Language audibly and legibly including via phone.
  • Bilingual/Spanish is desirable.
  • Capability to understand and follow restrictive guidelines for all hazardous materials and Material Safety Data Sheets.
  • Work extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
  • Desire to accomplish projects correctly once with little to no re-work.
  • Multi-tasking skills with prioritization of tasks.
  • Ability to legally operate a Class-C regulated vehicle and lower
