Job Summary:
BraunAbility is a company focused on enhancing mobility solutions, and they are seeking a Network Administrator to oversee and optimize their enterprise network infrastructure. The role involves engineering secure and scalable network solutions, analyzing performance, and ensuring reliable connectivity across multiple sites.
Responsibilities:
• Analyze business, manufacturing, and operational requirements to design network architecture and connectivity solutions
• Engineer and implement LAN/WAN, segmentation, and network infrastructure strategies across multiple sites
• Evaluate and recommend network technologies, configurations, and performance improvements
• Lead capacity planning, redundancy design, and infrastructure optimization initiatives
• Define and maintain network standards, architecture principles, and best practices
• Design and configure Cisco-based network environments including routing, switching, and firewall architecture
• Develop and implement VLAN structures, segmentation strategies, and secure network frameworks
• Modify and optimize system configurations based on performance analysis and evolving business needs
• Ensure integration of IT and OT environments through secure and reliable network design
• Perform deep-dive analysis of network performance, identifying trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
• Lead root cause analysis efforts for complex or recurring network issues
• Resolve advanced connectivity and infrastructure challenges requiring independent technical judgment
• Proactively identify and implement preventative solutions to enhance system reliability
• Design and maintain network security architecture, including segmentation and access controls
• Evaluate and implement security enhancements and vulnerability remediation strategies

• Provide technical direction for equipment installation, cabling, and infrastructure projects
• Validate and approve infrastructure implementations to ensure quality, scalability, and compliance
• Develop and maintain network architecture documentation, diagrams, and design standards
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to modernize infrastructure and standardize processes
• Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, reliability, and scalability of network systems
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of network administration experience
• Hands-on experience with Cisco networking equipment
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, DNS, DHCP
• Experience with Windows environments and Active Directory
Preferred:
• Cisco certification (CCNA or CCNP)
• Experience in manufacturing or industrial IT environments
• Experience with fiber networking and structured cabling
