Major Responsibilities:
Instruction and Curriculum Delivery
- Deliver all phases of the eight-week curriculum on site, including boot camp orientation, the two-week fiber optic training, and the four-week network cabling training plus any employment readiness training as part of scheduled training in partnership with campus faculty and staff.
- Lead hands-on, lab-based instruction and manage day-to-day cohort pacing and student engagement throughout each program cycle.
- Prepare students for the fiber optic installer certification and the network cable installation written (Pearson VUE) and hands-on examinations.
- Coordinate certification testing. Support students for on-site or off-site certification testing.
- Build and maintain course content in the College's learning management system (Canvas).
Student Recruitment, Intake, and Success
- Partner with campus leadership to recruit and enroll students for each cohort.
- Manage enrollment, intake documentation, and cohort rosters.
- Support student persistence and completion through an intensive, workforce-focused program with real attrition risk.
- Track participant data, including enrollment, completion, certification attainment, and employment outcomes, and report to the Systems Office on a defined cadence.
Employer Engagement and Career Placement
- Plan and coordinate the culminating employer fair for each cohort in collaboration with Career Link, managing employer invitations, logistics, and student-employer connections.
Laboratory and Equipment Management
- Maintain the campus training lab, managing equipment inventory, consumable supplies, and readiness for each incoming cohort.
- Coordinate with campus facilities contacts on lab maintenance needs.
- Maintain BICSI ATF compliance standards once ATF certification is achieved.
- Identify equipment replacement needs, submit requests through appropriate campus channels, and communicate supply or readiness gaps to the Systems Office in advance.
Campus and Program Coordination

- Provide program content and student success stories to the Campus Marketing Director, who executes local outreach and employer-facing marketing.
- Attend statewide program meetings with the Systems Office and the cross-campus instructor team.
Reporting and Continuous Improvement
- Submit cohort reports, certification outcomes, and participant data to the Systems Office on the defined schedule.
- Participate in program improvement discussions as the program scales toward its statewide goals.

- Adhere to all College and campus academic policies.
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of three years of verifiable field experience in low-voltage cabling, copper and/or fiber optic installation, or related telecommunications/infrastructure work. Experience must be documentable, as verifiable field experience is a prerequisite for BICSI Technician certification.

- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cohorts in parallel while maintaining quality and compliance.
- Comfort with data entry, tracking, and reporting for program metrics and gift reporting.
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication, with the ability to represent the program to campus leadership, students, and employer partners.
- A combination of technical education, industry certification, and verifiable field experience sufficient to demonstrate mastery of the subject matter.
Preferred Qualifications:
