Install Technician
About the RoleLEK Technology Group is seeking a Level 2โ3 Install Technician to support field installations of access control, CCTV, and structured cabling systems. This role works under the direction of a Project Manager and or Lead Technician and is ideal for technicians with handsโon lowโvoltage experience who are looking to grow their skills in the security and access control space.
What You'll Do- Assist with daily onโsite installation activities as directed by the Project Manager or Lead Technician
- Install and support:
- Access control systems (controllers, readers, locks, power supplies)
- CCTV systems (IP and analog, including cloudโmanaged platforms)
- Structured cabling systems (copper and fiber)
- Maintain jobsite safety and follow LEK installation standards
- Work efficiently as part of a field team on active construction sites
Technical Responsibilities- Install and configure door controllers, readers, electrified hardware, and power supplies
- Assist with troubleshooting lowโvoltage cabling, PoE, and basic network connectivity issues
- Terminate and test copper and fiber cabling
- Support Lead Technicians with system installations and testing
Required Qualifications- 2+ years of lowโvoltage or security system experience
- Prior lowโvoltage and cabling installation experience
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass background checks
Preferred Experience- Previous experience with access control and camera systems
- Fiber termination, fusion splicing, and testing experience
- Commercial, military, or school construction project experience
Technical Knowledge- Lowโvoltage wiring standards and best practices
- OSHA and general jobsite safety awareness
Work Environment- Commercial construction environments
- Indoor and outdoor installations
- Ladder and lift work required
- Regional travel may be required (per diem provided when applicable)
