A Team Home Services - Hutto, TX
Pay: Base + Performance-Based Incentives
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Job Summary
A Team Home Services is hiring a Handyman/Carpentry Service & Install Manager to lead and grow our handyman/carpentry division.
This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for managing technician performance, training, job quality, and driving weekly performance and results. This is not a desk-only role, this position requires regular field involvement and hands-on support with the team, while also operating effectively on the office and management side to ensure consistent execution and accountability. This role will initially manage a team of 3-4 technicians and is expected to scale that team to approximately 8-10 technicians over time.
The ideal candidate is a current manager who is still hands-on and field-capable, understands how to drive performance through a team, and is comfortable being held accountable to weekly performance and operational targets. This person takes ownership of results, develops technicians through active coaching, and consistently pushes performance forward.
What You'll Do
Manage and improve technician performance through regular ride-alongs and hands-on coaching
Oversee jobs call-by-call to increase close rate, ticket size, and customer experience
Review estimates with technicians to ensure proper pricing and strong value communication
Step in to assist with installs as needed to support quality and team execution
Help build, refine, and maintain the handyman/carpentry pricebook
Drive weekly performance and results and hold the team accountable to goals
Identify skill gaps and implement targeted training
Ensure all work meets company standards for quality and professionalism
Support hiring and onboarding as the team grows
Requirements
5+ years of experience in handyman/carpentry, remodeling, or home services trades required
Strong multi-trade skillset with emphasis on carpentry, drywall, and general handyman services
Prior leadership or management experience required
Strong computer and office system experience required (CRM/dispatching systems preferred; Service Titan is a plus)
Experience building or reviewing estimates
Ability to train, coach, and hold technicians accountable
Strong communication and decision-making skills
Pay & Growth Structure
This role is designed for a leader who wants direct impact on department performance and long-term growth.
$60,000-$70,000 base salary (based on experience)
Weekly performance-based bonus tied directly to department revenue goals
Realistic On-Target Earnings: $85,000-$100,000+
Compensation will grow over time based on performance and department growth but is not directly tied to team size.
Clear path to increased responsibility, team size, and earnings as the division expands
Benefits
Competitive compensation
Health, dental, and vision insurance options
Paid time off and holidays
Stable, full-time position with consistent schedule
Supportive, team-oriented work environment
