Service Technician Job Summary

Responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment while delivering excellent customer service and maintaining a proven sales performance record through customer recommendations, service upgrades, and solution-based selling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, inspect, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, fixtures, and equipment in residential or commercial environments.
  • Diagnose electrical issues and determine effective repair solutions.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical specifications.
  • Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit systems.
  • Connect wiring to lighting fixtures, switches, relays, outlets, and circuit breaker panels.
  • Test electrical systems and circuit continuity to ensure safety, functionality, and code compliance.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and respond to service calls in a timely manner.
  • Recommend system improvements, upgrades, and replacement options based on customer needs.
  • Maintain a proven sales record by identifying opportunities for additional services, equipment upgrades, and maintenance agreements.
  • Build strong customer relationships through professional communication and high-quality service.
  • Complete service documentation and maintain accurate records of repairs and installations.
