Job description

UW Health in northern Illinois is recruiting a BC/BE Sleep Medicine Physician to join our growing Sleep Medicine program. We are seeking candidates comfortable caring for both adult and pediatric patients with an interest in optimizing sleep study utilization and improving regional access to comprehensive sleep care.

As a member of our medical group with over 350 employed providers - including comprehensive cardiology, pulmonary, and subspecialty teams, as well as over 100 primary care providers - you benefit from a built-in referral base from the region's preferred healthcare provider.

Your clinical support includes the following:
Providing outpatient sleep care in a well-established clinic setting with flexible FTE opportunities
Working within a program that includes two sleep labs with remote study interpretation capability
No call requirement if practicing sleep medicine exclusively
Supporting and expanding the region's only Inspire therapy program
Collaborating with a team of sleep-focused physicians, advanced practice providers, RNs, and MAs in a team-based care model
Access to EPIC EMR and a dedicated prior authorization team to support workflow
Opportunity to help redesign referral pathways to ensure appropriate study selection and reduce unnecessary testing

Qualifications:
MD, DO, or equivalent degree with completion of accredited residency training
Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Sleep Medicine
Comfort caring for pediatric patients 
Active license in the State of Illinois and active DEA license, or the ability to obtain prior to or upon hire
