Job description

Senior QA/QC Inspector - GD&T - Sheet Metal Manufacturing
World class supplier of precision sheet metal assembly and fabrication, serving the Electronics, Telecommunications, Medical, Commercial, Defense, and Aerospace industries.
We are looking for an experienced, focused QA/QC Inspector who will cover day-to-day quality tasks and assist with in-process inspections.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Includes the following:
  • Monitoring, measuring and testing products (in-process and final inspection) using advanced inspection techniques with the use of height gauge, gauge pins, thread gauges, comparator etc.
  • Complete inspection reports and documentation in accordance to Customer specifications.
  • Identify and verify material and specification requirements related to product as well as identify unique requirements that may be flowed down through purchase order text
  • Assist in providing leadership and training to the QC department requirements as well as assuring compliance to the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Calibrating Inspection Equipment and creating records in Simpletrak.
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must be able to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, specifications, etc. per ASME Y 14.5
  • Experience performing First Article Inspections Reports (FAIRs)
  • Knowledge of ISO9001 or AS9100
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Overall leadership and organizational skills.
  • 3+ years' experience or equivalent training as an inspector in a metal fabrication environment.
  • Knowledge of CMM devices and laser scanners as well as other modern inspection equipment. Experience using PC-DMIS is a plus.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident per government (ITAR) regulations for this position.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
