Job description

OVERVIEW: The Business Insights Analyst is responsible for turning business data into clear, trusted insight that drives commercial performance, operational efficiency, and better decision making across MarineMax Superyacht Services, including Northrop & Johnson and Fraser Yachts. This role partners with brokerage, charter, yacht management, marketing, commercial, finance, and operations stakeholders to define the questions that matter, source and validate the underlying data, and deliver reporting, dashboards, and analysis that leaders act on. The Business Insights Analyst combines hands-on analytical execution with business partnership: gathering requirements, documenting processes and definitions, building and maintaining reporting assets, and using AI-enabled tooling to accelerate analysis and insight delivery. The role works closely with CRM, Digital Experience, YIQ, Data Operations, and Development teams to ensure metrics are consistent, data quality is sound, and insight is embedded in day-to-day business routines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner with business stakeholders to define analytical questions, success measures, and decision-ready outputs; translate business needs into clear reporting and analysis requirements.
  • Build, maintain, and enhance dashboards, reports, and self-service reporting assets covering brokerage, charter, yacht management, marketing, and operational performance.
  • Deliver recurring and ad hoc analysis on sales and charter pipeline, lead performance, client engagement, marketing effectiveness, fleet activity, and operational throughput.
  • Define, document, and govern key business metrics and definitions so reporting is consistent and trusted across brands and regions.
  • Validate data accuracy and completeness across CRM, marketing, digital, listing, and operational systems; identify root causes and drive remediation with Data Operations, CRM, and Development teams.
  • Surface trends, gaps, risks, and opportunities proactively, with clear recommendations and quantified business impact rather than data alone.
  • Support business case development, prioritization, and post-implementation measurement for Business Solutions initiatives.
  • Leverage AI-enabled and modern analytics tooling to accelerate data preparation, analysis, narrative reporting, and insight distribution, applying AI-first principles to routine analytical work.
  • Translate analysis into concise executive-ready deliverables, including summaries, visualizations, and briefing materials for leadership and steering forums.
  • Partner with Product Managers to embed reporting, KPIs, and measurement into CRM, YIQ, and digital experience roadmaps.
  • Maintain documentation of data sources, logic, calculations, reporting inventory, and change history to support auditability and continuity.
  • Ensure analytical work meets data quality, security, privacy, and compliance standards and follows established governance practices.
  • Support user enablement and adoption of reporting tools through training, guides, office hours, and ongoing stakeholder support.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

KEY SKILLS:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 3+ years in business analysis, business intelligence, data analytics, commercial analytics, or reporting roles.
  • Demonstrated experience building dashboards and reporting in a BI platform such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Domo, or equivalent.
  • Strong SQL skills and comfort working with relational data, joins, aggregation, and data validation; Python, R, or similar scripting is a plus.
  • ย Advanced Excel or Google Sheets capability, including pivot tables, modeling, and large data set manipulation.
  • Working knowledge of CRM and marketing data structures, lifecycle stages, pipeline reporting, and campaign performance; HubSpot or Microsoft Dynamics experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to translate business questions into analysis and analysis into clear, actionable recommendations for non-technical audiences.
  • Practical experience applying AI tools to analytical workflows, with sound judgment on accuracy, validation, and appropriate use.
  • Strong attention to detail, data integrity discipline, and ability to manage competing priorities across multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to executives and business leaders with confidence.
  • Experience in luxury, marine, hospitality, real estate, or other high-consideration, relationship-driven sales environments preferred.
  • Comfort operating across US and EU teams, time zones, and multi-brand environments preferred.

KEY RESULTS:

  • Leaders have timely, accurate, and trusted reporting to support commercial and operational decisions.
  • Key business metrics are consistently defined, documented, and reported across brands and regions.
  • Analysis drives measurable improvement in revenue performance, marketing effectiveness, and operational efficiency.
  • Data quality issues are identified early, escalated clearly, and resolved with the responsible teams.
  • Reporting adoption and self-service usage increase, reducing dependency on manual and ad hoc requests.
  • AI-enabled analytical practices shorten time from business question to actionable insight.
