Job description

The Sales Support Representative (SSR) is a key member of the Fortinet sales organization, responsible for delivering standardized operational support across assigned sales districts. Operating within a centralized Center of Excellence model, the SSR ensures consistency, data integrity, and scalable execution that enables sales teams to focus on revenue generation.

In this role, you will partner closely with Field and Inside Sales Account Managers, Deals Desk, Channel Operations, and Sales Operations to support lifecycle management, quoting processes, and forecasting accuracy. The SSR role is operational in nature and does not include prospecting, business development, or individual quota-carrying responsibilities.

Responsibilities
*Manage opportunity and quote lifecycle activities in Salesforce, including creation, updates, and deal registration routing.
*Maintain Salesforce hygiene and forecasting integrity through disciplined pipeline management, valid close dates, and data accuracy controls.
*Support standardized quoting processes through coordination with Deal Desk and Finance, including quote refreshes and lifecycle updates.
*Execute operational reconciliation and month-end controls, including variance research, backlog validation, and Oracle and POS sweeps.
*Coordinate channel communications and approved escalation workflows related to quoting, finance, and order management.
*Provide consistent cross-functional operational support across assigned districts while maintaining clear non-quota, non-prospecting role boundaries.
Required Qualifications:
*Experience in sales operations, sales support, or similar operational role
*Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
*Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and process discipline
*Proficiency with Salesforce and sales operations workflows
*Ability to manage multiple priorities in a structured environment
*Collaborative mindset with strong internal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
*Experience supporting channel or multi-tier distribution models
*Background in networking, cybersecurity, or cloud environments
*Exposure to forecasting, quoting, or deal lifecycle management processes
