Job description

Reporting to the Director of National Sales, our Inside Sales Representative is responsible to manage the Western U.S. territory (including Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas, Utah, and Wyoming) and to establish sales relationships, negotiate customer purchase commitments and maintain the accounts of existing customers to meet predetermined territory sales goals. This person is also responsible to promote products and services while communicating customer feedback and troubleshooting quality and service issues.    Location of the role will be at our East Earl, PA facility. Travel would generally be limited to less than 5% of yearly working hours with most sales’ interaction being through phone call and email solicitation. This position offers the opportunity to progress to an outside sales position as the opportunity arises.

Key Functions of the Position:

  • Call customers throughout the assigned geographical territory including existing and prospective customers, soliciting/enriching buying relationships and increasing territory purchase volume
  • Promote products and services through consultative selling techniques while pursuing a strengthened understanding of customer business practices
  • Train and educate customers on Conestoga products through Zoom meetings and phone calls
  • Provide troubleshooting assistance to both internal and external customers
  • Manage profitability through negotiation of trade discounts based on purchase volume and other factors in compliance with predetermined trade discount guidelines
  • Prepare required reports on customer, marketplace, and competitor data to make internal departments aware of product and service needs

 

Required Experience:

  • College degree
  • 3+ years of successful inside sales experience in a manufacturing/consumer packaged goods environment
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient with MS Office software
