Job Summary 

The Inside Sales Professional is responsible for handling inbound and outbound sales calls and converting qualified leads into home security customers. This role focuses on consistent execution of the sales process, urgency in scheduling installations, and collecting activation at the point of sale. Inside Sales Professionals are measured by conversion, installation outcomes, efficiency, and install speed. This is a full-time, performance-driven role.  

Essential Functions and Responsibilities 

The essential functions listed below are representative of the duties required to successfully perform this role. Reasonable accommodation(s) may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.  

  • Handle inbound and outbound sales calls in a professional and compliant manner  

  • Present home security solutions clearly and confidently to prospective customers  

  • Convert qualified leads into completed sales following approved scripts and processes  

  • Schedule customer installations with a target baseline of 10 days or fewer from sale to install  

  • Collect activation payments at the time of sale whenever possible (Charge Today)  

  • Accurately document customer information and sales activity in CRM systems  

  • Manage call flow efficiently to maximize talk time and sales opportunities  

  • Participate in coaching sessions, call reviews, and ongoing training  

  • Maintain compliance with company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements  

  • Consistently meet or exceed individual performance goals  

Competencies & KPI’s 

  • Conversion Percentage: Lead to sale  

  • In-Ground Percentage: Sale to install  

  • Efficiency Percentage: Sales or revenue per hour worked  

  • Charge Today Percentage: Activation collected at point of sale  

  • Days to Install: Average days from sale to installation (10-day baseline expectation)  

  • Call Activity: Calls handled per hour and schedule adherence  

Skills, Physical Demands & Work Environment 

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and sit or stand for periods throughout the work day  

  • Work is performed in a remote or office-based inside sales environment  

  • Minimal travel required (if applicable)  

Licenses, Certifications, & Educational Requirements 

  • All SafeStreets employees must be 18 years of age or older.  

  • Education Required  
    - High school diploma or GED Preferred  

  • Experience Required  
    - Strong verbal communication and active listening skills - Ability to follow structured sales processes and accept coaching - Basic computer proficiency and comfort using CRM systems  

  • Certifications/Licenses Required  
    - None required for this role  

  • Preferred Qualifications  
    - Previous inside sales, call center, or customer-facing experience - Experience selling home security, telecom, or subscription-based services - Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or exceed sales goals  

Compensation 

SafeStreets compensation may include base pay and, for eligible roles, variable compensation or bonuses. Variable and bonus compensation is not guaranteed and is governed by applicable plan terms. All compensation is paid in compliance with federal, state, and local wage laws, including applicable minimum wage and overtime requirements. Variable pay is defined as commission-based compensation tied to completed sales and performance metrics and will be shared in a separate compensation plan.
