Job Summary
The Inside Sales Representative supports and grows existing B2B customer accounts by delivering responsive service, accurate pricing, and solutions that align with customer needs and long-term partnership goals. This role works closely with Outside Sales, branch teams, manufacturing, and supply chain to manage day-to-day sales activity, support contract and project pricing, and ensure customer satisfaction across assigned accounts.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manages pricing structures and other account details in Salesforce in alignment with assigned customer accounts, volume commitments, margin objectives, and operating income goals.
  • Serves as a primary point of contact for existing customers, coordinating with Outside Sales, branch teams, and operations on order status, inventory availability, pricing, delivery schedules, and product specifications.
  • Proactively communicates changes to open orders, expediting needs, and potential new opportunities to Manufacturing, Inside Sales, and Outside Sales team.
  • Supports customer retention and account growth by identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Assists in resolving customer concerns and follows up to ensure timely resolution and overall customer satisfaction.
  • Develops and manages daily pricing strategies in support of customer contracts, project bids, and MRO agreements.
  • Reviews and prices all RFQs bids, and customer requests, ensuring accuracy, responsiveness, and alignment with customer requirements.
  • Collaborates with Outside Sales to communicate customer feedback, sales activity, concerns, and evolving account needs.
  • Works closely with engineering, quality, purchasing, and vendors to address regulatory requirements, technical specifications, and product or design changes.
  • Stays informed on Lamons products, industry standards, customer applications, and competitive offerings to effectively support customer needs.
  • Reviews incoming sales leads and bid activity and reports outcomes to the Inside Sales Manager or Branch Manager.
  • Coordinates purchased products with vendors and the purchasing department to support customer orders and delivery commitments.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills
  • Strong understanding of B2B sales principles and business ethics.
  • Ability to learn and articulate Lamons products, applications, and competitive differentiators.
  • Working knowledge of pricing strategy, margin awareness, and account-based selling.
  • Ability to learn production processes and product flow in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong problem solving, conflict resolution, and customer service skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred).
  • Basic math skills, including conversions and measurements related to product dimensions.
Education
  • Required: High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Sales, Business, or related field.
Work Experience
  • Required: 2 years of previous Sales or Customer Service experience.
  • Preferred: 3 years' experience as an Inside Sales Representative in the Petrochemical, PVF, Renewable, Distribution, or Manufacturing industry.
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
Compensation and Benefits
  • Annual compensation based on experience: $50,000 - $67,000
