Responsibilities
  • Identify and enable opportunities for automation, transformation, and service enhancement in MNP’s tax practice
  • Monitor emerging trends in tax technology, regulatory change, and innovation practices to identify opportunities for competitive differentiation
  • Partner with Tax leadership to prioritize transformational initiatives that improve scalability, profitability, and client experience
  • Play a key role in shaping the future of Tax by embedding scalable, practical innovation into everyday operations and long‑term strategic priorities
  • Develop and execute a multi‑year tax innovation roadmap aligned with strategic priorities
  • Leverage business domain expertise and understanding of inner workings of tax functions to design customized technology and business solutions establishing both functional and nonfunctional requirements
  • Develop business requirements (BRD) and product requirements (PRD) documentation acting as the product owner for newly developed Tax tools and capabilities
  • Lead end‑to‑end innovation initiatives across tools, analytics, and AI, driving solutions from ideation to implementation aligned with Tax strategy
  • Collaborate with tax practitioners, MNP’s Innovation team, Change Enablement and technical delivery team to translate business needs into practical solutions
  • Champion and communicate a culture of innovation and continuous improvement across the tax practice, leading strategic planning sessions and supporting change enablement
  • Oversee pilot programs, proofs of concept (POCs), and scaled implementation efforts
Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, or a related field
  • 5 - 8 years of progressive experience in roles related to innovation, Data & AI, strategy, digital transformation, or operational excellence
  • Strong tax expertise, with experience improving processes, leading innovation, and working with modern technology
  • Deep familiarity with innovation frameworks such as design thinking, lean startup, and agile methodologies, as well as ability to facilitate workshops, and enable cross-functional collaboration
  • Demonstrated experience with optimization or implementation of existing tools and prototyping, piloting, and scaling new solutions
  • Ongoing professional development in emerging technologies (AI, automation, digital transformation)
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams with a focus in change management and ability to adapt to new technologies and ways of working
  • Experience within a professional services environment preferred
  • Exposure to client-facing environments and understanding of client service delivery models considered an asset
