Job description

Company Description
INNERGY is transforming the woodworking industry with purpose built, cloud based ERP software designed exclusively for custom manufacturers. Our platform helps businesses operate smarter, faster, and more efficiently while seamlessly connecting design, production, and delivery for teams creating architectural millwork, cabinetry, and casework.
What truly sets INNERGY apart is our people. Founded in 2016, we are a globally distributed team of 200 plus professionals united by deep software expertise and a shared passion for solving meaningful, real world problems. We value collaboration, creativity, and ownership, and we are intentional about building not only powerful products, but also a culture where people feel supported, heard, and inspired to do their best work.
With strong momentum and the recent acquisition of Microvellum, a trusted leader in design to manufacturing solutions for the woodworking industry, INNERGY is entering an exciting new phase of growth. This combination expands our capabilities, deepens our industry impact, and accelerates our vision of delivering a truly connected, end to end platform for custom manufacturers.
As we scale thoughtfully and bring together top talent and new perspectives, this is a unique opportunity to join a company where your work will have visible impact, your ideas will help shape decisions, and your contributions will play a meaningful role in defining the future of a fast evolving product, team, and industry.
Job Description
As Director of Solutions Engineering, you will lead and scale our team of Solutions Engineers who support INNERGY's Microvellum, DESIGN, and ERP products across the customer manufacturing industry. Reporting to the Chief Sales Officer, you'll help shape how we partner with Sales, Product, and Customer Experience to deliver technically sound, compelling solutions that drive revenue, accelerate win rates, and create Raving Fans.
This is a player-coach role. You'll build the playbook, set the standard, and get in the trenches on strategic deals, all while developing the team, the processes, and the infrastructure that will allow INNERGY's solutions engineering function to scale as the company grows.
What You'll Own
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Solutions Engineers across the Microvellum and INNERGY product lines, setting clear expectations, running regular 1:1s, and creating a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
  • Partner closely with Sales leadership to improve win rates, deal strategy, and SE-to-Sales alignment across the full revenue cycle
  • Establish and reinforce best practices across discovery, demos, and technical validation
  • Own the demo environment strategy, scaling and standardizing libraries, use cases, and proof-of-concept frameworks that showcase real manufacturing workflows
  • Stay hands-on with strategic and high-value deals, personally supporting complex opportunities alongside your team
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering to ensure customer feedback is reflected in product direction
  • Build the SE function's operational infrastructure, including processes, enablement materials, KPIs, and reporting that give leadership visibility into SE performance and impact
  • Own hiring, onboarding, and professional development for current and future Solutions Engineers, building a team that reflects INNERGY's CREED
  • Represent the SE function in leadership meetings, QBRs, and cross-functional planning sessions with Sales, Product, and Customer Experience
  • Champion INNERGY's focus on education by ensuring the SE team contributes to customer events, webinars, Lunch & Learns, and industry trade shows

What Success Looks Like
  • Your team is performing at a high level. Every SE has clear goals, a development plan, and the tools and coaching to deliver world-class demos and technical support
  • Improved consistency and quality across demos, discovery, and technical validation
  • Sales reps actively want SEs on their deals because the partnership is making them more effective and helping close more business
  • The SE function is recognized across INNERGY as a strategic differentiator, not just a demo team, but a revenue-driving, customer-obsessed technical sales organization
  • Measurable impact on win rates, deal velocity, and customer outcomes, backed by data you're tracking and reporting on

Qualifications
  • 5+ years in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, or technical consulting, with demonstrated success in customer-facing pre-sales roles
  • Experience leading, mentoring, or formally managing a technical team - or a strong track record of informal leadership and cross-functional influence
  • Interest in mentoring and developing others
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to connect technical solutions to business outcomes for audiences ranging from shop floor operators to C-suite executives
  • Curiosity and willingness to step into a broader leadership scope
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% for trade shows, customer visits, and team events

Why This Role
  • Opportunity to grow into leadership while staying close to the work
  • Shape the future of the Solutions Engineering team
  • Expand your impact beyond individual deals to team and organizational success
  • Partner closely with leadership across Sales, Product, and Customer Experience
