Job Overview:
Worth Higgins & Associates is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Inkjet/Inserter Operator to join our mailing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining high-speed inkjet printing and inserter equipment to prepare and process mailings accurately and efficiently. This role is critical in ensuring that all mail pieces are produced in accordance with quality standards, meeting deadlines and client specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate  and maintain inkjet printing systems to print addresses, barcodes, and other variable data onto mailpieces.
  • Set up, adjust, and troubleshoot inserter machines to ensure accurate insertion of documents and materials into envelopes or other containers.
  • Monitor machine performance, ensuring smooth operation and minimal downtime.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts as necessary.
  • Inspect printed and inserted materials for accuracy, quality, and compliance with client specifications.
  • Adjust machine settings as needed to accommodate different paper sizes, types, and job requirements.
  • Follow production schedules and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Maintain an organized and clean work environment, ensuring adherence to safety guidelines.
  • Document job details and production data, including quantities, equipment issues,  and maintenance performed.
  • Report any machine malfunctions or material shortages to the supervisor for timely resolution.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and job completion.

Requirements

 Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in printing or machine operation is a plus.
