Job Description

We are seeking an Inplant Ink Technician to work at our customer's site.  The technician will serve as a liaison between INX and the customer and will be responsible for maintaining INX's on-site ink room. As an Inplant Tech you will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining INX's excellent relationship with the customer
  • Reviewing scheduling and coordinating jobs with customer
  • Being available for service call-ins as needed
  • Performing technical service, color matching, ink production and dispensing ink
  • Evaluating production requirements based on customer schedule changes
  • Controlling Work-off
  • Inventory management and monthly consignment counts 
  • Performing job estimates
  • Providing press-side technical support
  • Completing monthly reports
  • Performing Quality Control tests on incoming and site-manufactured batches 
  • Following all safety requirements
  • Data entry accuracy
  • Manufacturing batches under 100 pounds
Qualifications

To perform your job as expected, you will be required to:

  • Have a High School graduate or G.E.D. equivalent
  • Be able to match colors effectively and pass a color vision test
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service skills
  • Effectively communicate with peers and customers
  • Have excellent written, reading comprehension and math skills
  • Demonstrate proficient with Microsoft Suite programs and other computer skills
  • Have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently
  • Have good organization skills
  • 2 to 5 years of work related experience

In addition to these qualifications, we will consider as a plus if you have:

  • Spectrophotometer knowledge & experience helpful
  • Technically qualified to service Offset Sheetfed products
  • Familiar with X-Rite IQC
  • Flexible packaging knowledge
  • Flexographic printing knowledge
  • Solvent ink knowledge
  • Previous lab, inplant, and warehouse experience
  • SAP Knowledge
  • Inplant pressroom experience
  • College degree
