SUMMARY

Position is responsible for the proper removal of dishware and cleaning of guest’s tables. Reset tables and keep floor area clean and presentable at all times. Assists servers as needed.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Provide friendly, courteous and prompt service to guests
  • Remove used dishes, silverware
  • Clean tables, chairs and floor after guest use
  • Reset tables, keep chairs clean and free of stains
  • Refill water, coffee and other beverages as needed
  • Restocks all service pantry’s with china, glass, flatware, linen, fuel cells, and any other service items
  • Cleans and maintains any service carts, service trays and tray jack stands
  • Removes dirty dishes, cups, glasses, flatware etc. to the dishwashing area, unloads, cleans food off plates to garbage, stacks and racks for dishwashers
  • Sweeps and clean walkways, floors, patio, etc.
  • Understand and practice exceptional sanitation standards
  • Other duties as assigned by manager
  • Assemble room service orders, deliver to room and present food and beverage, collect payment, return to pick-up dishes
  • Back bar support for bartenders, including refreshing ice, removing soiled china and flatware to dishwashing area, and any other duties assigned by manager
  • Willingness to cross-train and provide support in related areas of operations.
  • Other job duties as assigned by supervisor.

OTHER NECESSARY SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Must have excellent customer service and verbal communication skills
  • Must be a team player with a positive attitude
  • Must be highly organized and be able to multiple tasks
  • Must be able to complete tasks and projects in a timely manner by prioritizing duties
  • Must possess the ability to work with various personalities while maintaining neutrality
  • Must respond to supervisory guidance and assignments and accept constructive criticism. Will need the flexibility to adjust quickly to a changing work environment from slow and smooth to fast paced and hectic
  • Must work as a team member and be cross-trained to perform other duties when directed by management. Require to attend and participate in on-going training sessions and staff meetings
  • In addition to section 2.7 GTB EDC Appearance and Dress code team member must comply to the following:
  • Must wear a dress type black shoe approved by management that is polished and in very good condition. (no athletic, canvas, patent leather, matte finish shoes will be permitted)
  • Must not have a tongue ring in while working.
  • Must tie back hair longer than shoulder length, in a professional manner. (subject to management approval)
  • Must have on their person departmental issued implements to complete job functions in a proper manner. Examples include: a black ink pen that looks professional and writes well, properly working captain’s knife for wine service, and table crumber.
  • Must be extremely detail oriented.
  • Must be extremely organized and have all implements of service to prepare for the flawless execution of table service turnover.
  • Must deliver a professional but warm and genuine service level.
  • Must be able to multi-task and remain composed, while taking direction from multiple sources and being able to prioritize to complete all tasks in a given amount of time.
  • Must follow all steps of service as outlined in training manual.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Must be 18 years of age or older. Though experience is not necessary, prior dining room busser experience would be helpful and recommended. We will train.

Must be in work station @ scheduled time and in proper uniform
