Summary:
Crazy Shirtspurpose is to create original and memorable artwork on quality products that take our customers on the endless vacation in everyday life. The Ink Technicians goal is to consistently replicate formulated inks in the proper yields in support of the print schedule.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not necessarily limited to:
  • Developing the yield composition and consistency of color mixing to match approved samples.
  • Keeping current with color matching developments with respect to opaque, translucent and white bases and the effects of different mixture properties.
  • Working with ink mixers in their on the job development.
  • Keeping ink mixing ahead of the print schedule as per the production schedule.
  • Minimizing scoop time due to incorrectly mixed colors.
  • Comprehending and communicating the effects and reactions of using different mixtures, compounds and supplier differentials.
  • Scripting and maintaining the color recipe ledger for all designs.
  • All cataloging, labeling and storage management of inks and all ink components.
  • Management of all supplies and work in process equipment and materials.
  • Mixing inks in support of ink mixers.
  • All other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to distinguish colors, color shades, and slight color variations
  • Must be comfortable communicating verbally and in writing with superiors, peers and subordinates.
  • Must be comfortable working with digitizing equipment and standard office productivity tools.

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Standing for long periods of time, bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, pushing, pulling, carrying and moving items up to 45lbs.
  • Manual dexterity for operating and calibrating equipment
  • Ability to perform essential job functions in an environment with varied noise levels, light and heat exposure and chemicals
  • The plant environment may be dusty, noisy, and open to interior temperature changes
  • Must be able to abide by the companys Exposure Prevention, Preparedness, and Response guidelines as it relates to the spread of communicable diseases, and workplace safety; this includes use of masks (as needed and required per CDC and Company recommendations) and the ability to use cleaning supplies for cleaning and disinfection purposes.
