Job description

The Ink Production Operator supports Ink Operations by operating, assisting with, or completing production, fulfillment, equipment, quality, inventory, and workflow tasks. This role is expected to be flexible and may work across multiple production functions based on business needs, volume, staffing, training, and equipment requirements.
Key Responsibilities
  • This role may be required to operate, support, or assist with any current or future Ink Operations production function, including presses, inserters, postage meters, shrink wrappers, cutters, slitters, finishing equipment, fulfillment equipment, material handling, quality control, inventory movement, and other production or operational activities as assigned.
  • Operate, support, or assist with current and future production equipment and workflows.
  • Complete assigned work accurately, safely, and in priority order.
  • Read and follow job instructions, work orders, production standards, checklists, and quality requirements.
  • Monitor work for accuracy, quality, completeness, and proper handling.
  • Move materials, supplies, work-in-process, and finished work through the operation as needed.
  • Support equipment setup, basic troubleshooting, cleaning, restocking, and routine operator-level maintenance.
  • Report equipment issues, quality concerns, supply needs, safety risks, and workflow delays.
  • Maintain clean, organized, safe, and efficient work areas.
  • Support any Ink Operations function as business needs require.
  • All other duties as assigned and required by the Ink Operations leadership.

Required Qualifications
  • Experience in operations, production, fulfillment, logistics, manufacturing, equipment operation, or related work preferred.
  • Ability to follow instructions, work safely, meet deadlines, and maintain quality standards.
  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, teamwork, and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work in a hands-on production environment and support changing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with production equipment, fulfillment workflows, material handling, quality checks, or deadline-driven operations.

Physical / Environmental Requirements
  • Ability to work in an operations environment with production equipment, fulfillment activity, supplies, packaging, and shipping materials.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and move materials or equipment as needed, with reasonable accommodations available.
  • Ability to lift and move supplies or materials as required for the role.
  • May be required to work schedules or shifts outside normal business hours based on Ink Operations needs.
