Job description

Description

The Injection Maintenance Technician performs maintenance on high-speed automated production machinery and support equipment.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoots, repairs and makes adjustments to electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems on production machinery and support equipment
  • Performs inspection of Injection Molding machines, Dryer Systems, Automated Guided Vehicles, and support equipment 
  • Performs changeovers of injection tooling and robotic equipment per production demands
  • Performs preventive maintenance on Injection Molding Machines, Dryer Systems, Automated Guided Vehicles, and support equipment 
  • Troubleshoots electrical control and distribution systems to include 24vac, 120vac, 277vac and 480vac controller and monitor control systems
  • Some programming and troubleshooting of PLC's 
  • Orders and installs replacement parts for machines
  • Prepares reports documenting work performed
  • Coordinates with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines
  • Fabricates and welds basic steel projects
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Education and Experience:
  • HS Diploma/GED Required. Three years of relevant experience (one employer) may be substituted
  • Some vocational or community college with related coursework or equivalent experience, required
Physical Requirements: 
  • Prolonged periods standing and walking
  • Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery
  • Must be able to visually inspect machines
