Job description

Job Purpose

Responsible for proper preventive and corrective maintenance of injection molds (tooling).

Essential Functions

  1. Work weekends and overtime when necessary.

  2. Repair all injection molds per work orders and priority list.

  3. Clean and perform maintenance on injection molds per work orders.

  4. Provide feedback to enhance injection mold repair.

  5. Operate toolroom equipment such as the overhead crane, grinders, lathes etc.

  6. Complete daily documentation as assigned.

  7. Assist tool room teammates as needed.

Additional Responsibilities

  1. Support, comply and ensure complicity of:

    1. All company policies, procedures, and requirements

    2. Health and Safety regulations

    3. Quality Management Standards (IATF 16949:2016)

    4. Environmental Management Standards (ISO 14001:2015)

  2. Any other task(s) that may be assigned.

Education, Experience and Competencies

  1. Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints

  2. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

  3. Must be levelheaded and able work with others.

  4. Knowledge in safely operating cranes, hoists, lifts, power tools and hand tools.

  5. Ability to walk, stand, lift, carry and/or pull up to 50lbs. for an extended period of time.

  6. High school graduate/General Education Degree, or 5 years of equivalent work-related experience in an injection molding toolroom environment is preferred.
