Initiative Management – New York, US

As an Initiative Management Team Leader, you will shape high-impact innovation across global brands while influencing strategic business decisions. At Coty, this role offers unique visibility, cross-functional leadership, and the opportunity to drive transformation at scale.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

As our IM Team Leader, you are responsible for on time/in full delivery of Color Cosmetics Brands, Segment and Base Business Initiative Master Plans (IMP) from idea through to launch.

Key responsibilities include leading the end-to-end delivery of a diverse innovation portfolio, ensuring strong prioritization, gate governance, and execution excellence. You will drive cross-functional alignment across Global Marketing, CMI, Trade Marketing, R&D, Supply Chain, Procurement, Merchandizing and Finance, facilitating informed decision-making, managing risks, and ensuring mitigation plans are in place to secure project readiness. The IM Team Lead orchestrates complex innovation and business continuity programs to achieve strategic business objectives and is the single source of truth for 360 readiness (Commercial, Financial, Technical). The role also involves coaching and developing Initiative Management talent, driving continuous improvement.

 

Your main focus:

  • Drives the delivery of Brand and Segment Initiative Master Plan (IMP) ensuring initiative productivity and leveraging synergies across the NPD process (including platformed products and adherence to segment IMP prioritizes)
  • Orchestrates the E2E Commercial, Financial and Technical Readiness to ensure gate and launches are on time and in full, collaborating closely with leaders and the cross-functional teams
      
  • Ensures all projects have an aligned development plan (CPS) and that issues and risks are pro-actively identified and brought to the attention of the project team for mitigation or resolution. Elevates project issues and options to Senior Leaders for visibility and support in resolution when needed 
  • Frames and communicates project questions to facilitate informed and agile decision taking 
  • Applies the standard Supply operating strategy matrix to recommend finished good sourcing approach 
  • Coaches his/her team to build innovation management capabilities, identify talent and build Initiative Management capability within the multi-functional teams; drives Continual Improvement through coordinating project learning cycles

 QUALIFICATIONS

We’d love to see candidates who have:

Essential:

  • Proven experience 7+ years in Supply Chain role(s), new product development processes & stage gate approach and/or project management 
  • Proven experience in delivering projects as a leader (on time, on cost & quality) and/or member of a multi-functional team 
  • 3 years project management experience – familiarity with CPS/Project Planning, standard project management toolbox and strong Microsoft Excel and Project capabilities
  • Technical Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent 
  • Fluent in English (written & spoken)

Comp Range: 120-150k
