Description:
The Oncology Infusion Registered Nurse will float between facilities as needed.
The shift will be five days a week from 08:00 to 16:30.
No weekend coverage is required.
First-time travelers are not accepted for this position.
Candidates will be expected to float within their scope to meet facility needs.
Candidates must have previous oncology experience.
Care will include administering various chemotherapies and blood products.
The average census for the unit is 50-60 infusions daily.
Interdisciplinary support is available, including pharmacy services.
Candidates should be skilled in accessing and managing ports.
The position requires understanding of antiemetic protocols and side effects management.
Compliance with safety protocols for handling cytotoxic materials is essential.
Travel experience is required for this position.
Candidates must provide a supervisor reference at the time of submission.
All candidates will be screened for any background policy compliance.
References from previous assignments will not be provided.
Modules may be required prior to starting the position.
Candidates should ensure they can complete the necessary pre-start modules.
