The Role

Equity Technology is seeking a Senior Software DevOps Engineer to support DevOps patterns and practices, and standardize tools and solutions across Equity Technology.

You will join a team of six global DevOps engineers and collectively be responsible for the design, build and advancement of our CI/CD pipelines, increasing our footprint on a cloud infrastructure. You will innovate by helping define and implement our cloud strategy. You will have autonomy in engineering, and opportunities to influence behavior that will progress the products and the organization.

You will also be responsible for the development and maintenance of performance scripts to ensure that our applications are built with quality, consistency to our standards, performance and responsive both on-prem and on the cloud.

The role involves working in an agile team, in a highly collaborative and engaging environment and be adaptable to shifting priorities.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree (or above) in either Engineering or Computer Science related field

  • 5+ years experience as software engineer

  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and supporting infrastructure, system, and security configurations and policies

  • Significant hands-on experience with Cloud Service Providers like Amazon Web Services, ideally with the related certification

  • Experience in Software configuration management, test/QA automation, version control and deployment tools

  • Jenkins Core experience

  • Experience with building dashboards with DataDog

  • Understanding of Performance Testing tools usingJMeter/ Performance center

  • Software engineering experience in any of the following Java, C, Scala, PL/SQL

  • Well-rounded experience programming in various languages and domains

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

You will be a part of the Developer Enablement team responsible for developing and supporting DevOps patterns, practices and solutions for our squads who are focused on building technology solutions for Equity Portfolio Managers, Traders and Research Analysts around the globe. The team you will be working with is highly engaged and passionate about solving problems faced by our business partners. We are committed to evolving our agile software development process and incorporating the newest technologies and practices.

Fidelity's Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
