Position: IT/OT Lab Support Engineer

Location: East Hanover, NJ (100% Onsite)
Duration: 3+ Month Contract
 

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced IT/OT Lab Support Engineer to provide technical support for Analytical Development and QC laboratory environments within a pharmaceutical organization. The ideal candidate will have strong experience supporting GxP laboratory workstations, IT/OT infrastructure, laboratory equipment, and virtualization technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day IT/OT support for QC and Analytical Development laboratory workstations.
  • Troubleshoot laboratory systems, network connectivity, and workstation issues.
  • Support user account administration, system access, and backup configurations.
  • Assist with firewall configuration and network security activities.
  • Maintain and support virtual infrastructure, storage platforms, and network systems.
  • Partner with laboratory, IT, and infrastructure teams to ensure reliable system performance.
  • Ensure compliance with GxP, data integrity, and internal IT policies.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8–10+ years of experience supporting IT/OT systems in pharmaceutical or GMP laboratory environments.
  • Strong experience supporting laboratory equipment, workstations, and infrastructure.
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • VMware ESXi / Virtual Infrastructure
    • Aruba Network Infrastructure
    • HPE GLA, MSA, and Synology Storage
  • Experience with user administration, networking, backup solutions, and firewall support.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
