Job description

Job Title Senior Server Infrastructure Engineer Overview We are seeking an experienced Server Infrastructure Engineer to support enterprise server infrastructure and global IT operations. This role requires strong expertise in server hardware, infrastructure engineering, automation, firmware management, virtualization, and enterprise systems support. The ideal candidate will work independently, lead technical initiatives, mentor team members, and contribute to infrastructure design and architecture. Key Responsibilities Provide Level 3 support for complex server hardware issues and perform root cause analysis. Serve as a subject matter expert for out-of-band (OOB) server management technologies. Support multiple enterprise server platforms, including HPE, Dell, and Lenovo. Resolve complex infrastructure issues with minimal supervision. Develop automation scripts for server configuration and management. Design and maintain automation using Redfish API and REST APIs. Automate server discovery, BIOS updates, firmware deployment, and configuration management. Guide application teams with automation for testing and certification processes. Manage firmware lifecycle and version management across enterprise servers. Identify opportunities to improve automation and operational efficiency. Design, test, and implement enterprise server infrastructure solutions. Lead hardware testing, FMEA activities, and infrastructure validation. Support SSL certificate deployment and infrastructure security initiatives. Create and maintain technical documentation, standards, and operational procedures. Design and support virtualized environments and hybrid infrastructure solutions. Contribute to enterprise infrastructure architecture and engineering standards. Configure and optimize enterprise monitoring using Dynatrace and Netcool. Perform capacity planning and resource utilization analysis. Monitor infrastructure performance and recommend long-term improvements. Mentor team members and promote technical knowledge sharing. Required Qualifications Associate degree or equivalent work experience. 10+ years of experience in server infrastructure, systems engineering, or related IT roles. Minimum 5 years of enterprise-level infrastructure experience. Strong knowledge of x86 server hardware, CPU architecture, bus architecture, and expansion cards. Expert knowledge of out-of-band server management technologies such as iLO, iDRAC, HPE OneView, HPE COM, and OpenManage Enterprise. Experience supporting Windows and Linux server operating systems. Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, DNS, DHCP, routing, and network architecture. Experience with PowerShell, Python, Ansible, or similar automation tools. Experience with REST APIs and Redfish API. Experience with CI/CD processes and automated server builds. Knowledge of firmware lifecycle management and hardware testing. Experience with virtualization technologies, distributed storage systems, and containerization. Hands-on experience with Dynatrace and Netcool. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills. Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor team members. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree. Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory. Experience with Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Kubernetes. Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and enterprise architecture. Experience with SAN, storage systems, networking, and data center technologies. Knowledge of SNMP, SMTP, MFA, and SSL certificate management. Experience with ServiceNow, BMC, or similar ITSM platforms. Experience using Jira. Knowledge of AI tools for automation, documentation, troubleshooting, and workflow optimization. Experience with server test labs, server decommissioning, enterprise license management, and vendor management. Performance tuning experience.
