    Responsibilities
    The Estimator is responsible for the overall quality of the bids submitted by Tapani Inc. They are also responsible for creating a cost efficient plan to build the project, procuring pre-bid quotes, and submitting professional competitive bids to clients on time.
    The main responsibilities are:
    • Job Specifics - The job consists of bidding sitework to various GC's/Owners. Applicant is expected to be sufficient in bidding earthwork, grading, and utilities. This position is responsible for budgeting/bidding through all stages of preconstruction.
    • Understanding the Project and Strategy - Research different sources and communicate with others to understand all items affecting the bidding process
    • Bidding Process - Coach and support Assistant Estimator during the bid process as needed and ensure the final bids are high quality
    • Professional Relations - Maintain professional relations with internal and external stakeholders
    • Purpose Document of Tapani Inc.-Uphold the purpose document and actions and behaviors support Strong Teams and Successful Projects

    Skills and Qualifications
    The Estimator currently establishes and continues to further grow the following skills and qualifications:
      • Knowledge of Estimating work, roles and responsibilities
      • Ability to manage bids by effective planning
      • Ability to work under pressure, stay organized and handle stressful situations well
      • Ability to communicate effectively inside and outside of the company
      • Knowledge of basic math and computer systems and willing to learn new technologies
    • 4 years of experience in estimating or similar roles

    Compensation and Benefits
    • Salary: $70,312 - $120,000 per year (based on qualifications and experience)
    • Monthly $75 phone allowance or company phone
