Facilities Tech Support - Telecom Team CENTRAL

Join Peraton in shaping the future of the National Airspace System (NAS) through the FAA's cutting-edge Brand New Air Traffic Control System (BNATCS) contract. As a trusted partner to the Federal Aviation Administration, Peraton delivers the systems and services that keep our nation's skies safe, efficient, and connected.

We're seeking a Facilities Tech Support to join our Telecom team in Central Service Area. In this role, you'll play a critical part in keeping the infrastructure that powers our nation's air traffic management running flawlessly.

What You'll Do:

  • Infrastructure Management: Monitor, maintain, and optimize physical facilities-including generators, HVAC systems, racks, cabling, and site security-to ensure near-perfect uptime.
  • Vendor Escort Oversight; Escort technical operations personnel to monitor uncleared visitors, contractors, or non-badged workers at all times to protect critical national airspace infrastructure, sensitive equipment, and restricted security areas.
  • System Installation & Maintenance: Lead installation, testing, and maintenance of telecommunications equipment such as switches, routers, and fiber-optic cabling.
  • Power Systems Oversight: Maintain and troubleshoot critical DC power systems, rectifiers, and battery backups to support mission-critical operations.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • 8+ years of experience in facilities engineering/management
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required OR we can accept an additional 4 years of experience
  • Strong expertise in HVAC, power distribution, cabling standards, and building infrastructure.
  • Experience reviewing technical designs and contractor work for compliance with standards.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and safety frameworks for critical infrastructure.
  • Background in physical security standards for facilities.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with FAA programs, NAS systems, or air traffic control environments.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or certifications in facility/building management.
  • Familiarity with sustainable building practices, LEED standards, or energy-efficient systems.
  • Understanding of project management methodologies and tools.

Target Salary Range$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
