Description
Infrastructure Engineers (IEs) analyze, construct, refine, document, and maintain internal networks that the team depends on — separate from corporate IT-administered networks. You'll upgrade, maintain, and document critical orchestration systems, and you'll own the documentation and upkeep of the data collection architecture and the in-house network.
This is a hands-on operator/engineer role: you're the person who keeps the wiring, the boxes, and the virtualization stack running well for the rest of the team.
A degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Cyber Operations, Computer Networks, Cybersecurity, Information Security, Information Assurance, or Network Administration is applicable for LCAT level determination.
Responsibilities
Analyze, construct, refine, document, and maintain internal networks.
Upgrade, maintain, and document critical orchestration systems.
Document and maintain the data collection architecture and in-house network.
Work across operating systems (macOS, Linux — Red Hat and Debian-based, Windows).
Configure and operate network infrastructure devices (Cisco, Juniper, Huawei).
Support software-defined networking (Cisco ACI) and integration architecture across the environment.
Skills Requirements
Working knowledge of macOS, Linux (Red Hat and Debian-based distributions), and Windows.
Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, and/or Huawei network infrastructure devices.
Cisco ACI Software-Defined Networking experience.
VMware cloud virtualization — ESXi, vSphere, and/or Horizon.
Linux KVM–based cloud virtualization.
Solid grasp of overall integration architecture across these components.
Nice to Haves
Automation experience with Ansible, Puppet, or Terraform.
Familiarity with observability stacks (Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk).
Scripting fluency (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
Prior experience running a mixed-hypervisor environment.
Comfort building and following runbooks under time pressure.
