Job Title: Network Engineer III
Location: On-site (with occasional local travel to affiliate locations)
Employment Type: Full-time, Long-Term Contract
About the Role:
We're looking for an experienced and adaptable Network Engineer III to support and evolve a secure, facility-wide industrial control network. This role blends hands-on network operations with strategic planning and system design across multiple connected sites. If you thrive on autonomy, problem-solving, and making infrastructure reliable and future-ready - this role is for you.
What You'll Do
  • Design and support LAN, VPN, and wireless networks across multiple sites.
  • Monitor and maintain network performance, uptime, and security.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues (switches, firewalls, surveillance, access systems).
  • Document configurations, IP schemes, and telecom room layouts.
  • Collaborate with vendors and in-house teams for migrations, upgrades, and installations.
  • Occasionally support weekend/holiday projects with prior notice.

Must-Have Qualifications
  • 8+ years of hands-on network engineering experience (Cisco preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of switching, routing, VLANs, IP planning.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and document technical details.
  • Familiarity with wireless networking, DNS/DHCP, and standard security practices.

Nice-to-Have
  • Experience with Cisco 6500/6509, Catalyst 3000/4000 series.
  • Knowledge of access control (e.g., AMAG), CCTV, or building automation (e.g., JCI).
  • Certifications like CISSP, CCNP, or similar.
  • Experience with documentation for compliance or audits.

Your Work Environment
  • Primary work hours: Mon-Fri, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM with a lunch break.
  • Occasional after-hours support may be requested for scheduled projects.
  • Work is primarily on-site, with occasional travel to nearby facilities.
