Job description

Are you excited about building the foundational systems that every product engineer relies on to deliver high-quality user experiences? Do you enjoy creating leverage through thoughtful architecture, developer tooling, and infrastructure? Are you energized by coaching engineers while shaping how an entire engineering organization builds, tests, and ships front-end software? If so, we invite you to be a part of our innovative team.

As an Engineering Manager for UI Framework at Ridgeline, you'll lead the team responsible for the foundation of Ridgeline's UI platform, creating leverage for product engineers to quickly build high-quality customer experiences. You'll guide the evolution of our front-end framework, shared services, developer tooling, build and deployment infrastructure, and lightweight backend services, with a focus on developer productivity, performance, reliability, and long-term maintainability. You'll partner across Engineering, Product, and Design to identify common challenges, establish technical direction, and make the right things easy for teams building on the platform. Our team of engineers are building with cutting-edge technologies, like Claude Code and Cursor, in a fast-moving, creative, progressive work environment.

At Ridgeline, how we work matters as much as what we build. Ridgeliners act like owners, choose growth over comfort, and communicate with transparency. We assume positive intent, bias toward action, and bring solutions, not just problems. We celebrate wins, learn from setbacks, and thrive in a resilient, collaborative, high-performing culture. If this excites you, we'd love to meet you!

You must be work authorized in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.

The impact you will have:

  • Lead the UI Framework team responsible for the foundational systems and infrastructure that power Ridgeline's front-end applications
  • Set the strategy and technical direction for Ridgeline's UI framework while balancing long-term platform investments with the evolving needs of product engineering teams
  • Partner with product engineers to identify common challenges and build reusable solutions that accelerate product development across Ridgeline
  • Own and evolve the systems used to build, test, bundle, and deploy front-end code with a strong emphasis on reliability, performance, and developer experience
  • Guide the team's expansion into lightweight backend services and infrastructure that support front-end capabilities and emerging developer workflows
  • Champion developer productivity through APIs, utilities, documentation, automation, CLIs, lint rules, AI workflows, and other tooling that make the platform intuitive and easy to adopt
  • Shape how AI changes front-end development at Ridgeline by ensuring our framework, tooling, and workflows enable engineers and AI agents to build and maintain high-quality software effectively
