Location: Dallas, TX

Job Type: Permanent / Full-Time / Direct-Hire / Hybrid

Compensation: $110K to $130K, DOE, plus an excellent full benefits package

Overview:

Our mid-West Dallas area client company is searching for a Windows Server / Infrastructure Engineer to: create/maintain documentation/procedures for Windows Active Directory and Windows Server engineering/administration; design/evaluate solutions to enhance/improve complex Active Directory domains and forests, Windows Servers, and related infrastructure across the organization; and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders and management to design/implement/administrate highly complex Windows Server infrastructure projects that fulfill business needs across the organization.

The successful candidate must further be able to: perform routine systems conformance and capacity validation and routine system maintenance to ensure that Windows Servers are up to date, secure, and in compliance with industry standards; work closely with cloud engineers and development teams on issue resolution and process improvement; and provide operational support including server monitoring, patching, and other duties.

Required Experience:

You MUST have 5+ years of hands-on Windows Server Administration/Engineering experience at a high level across multiple systems and be highly proficient in managing/administering:

  • MS Active Directory and related services/infrastructure (Certificate Services, DHCP, DNS, Sites, etc.).
  • PowerShell and related scripting (Python, JSON/YAML) to create automated solutions that improve efficiency and reduce manual processes.
  • Microsoft Hyper-V infrastructure.
  • Office 365 and related productivity applications.
  • Web-based applications hosted in Microsoft IIS/Apache.
  • Enterprise backup and recovery systems (N2WS, Veeam, Rubrik, Commvault, Backup Exec and similar backup software).
  • Networking, common protocols, mail routing, and different mail authentication/protocols.

Additional Technical Experience:

  • You MUST further have knowledge of AWS infrastructure.

Certifications:

  • Candidates MUST be Microsoft certified in either Windows Server 2016, 2019, or 2022.
  • Linux certifications and/or AWS Cloud Practitioner, AWS Solutions Architect, and/or SysOps Associate certifications are a plus.

Work Authorization:

Candidates must be able to work for any U.S. employer without sponsorship or visa transfer, whether now or at any time in the future.

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline is preferred, although not required.
