Job Summary

National Pipe & Plastics, one of the largest PVC pipe producers in North America, is currently seeking a Utility Worker. The Utility Worker oversees assigned lines, minimizes rejects by checking pipe during and after the finishing process, and runs any necessary equipment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Accurately inspects pipe with inspection tools
  • Demonstrates ability to identify when the product doesn't meet specification and standards, and escalation scale
  • Properly stack and band pallets
  • Follow scrap pipe procedure
  • Assists Extruder Operators during start-up/shutdown operations
  • Keeps area clean at all times
  • Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed

Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED 
  • Must communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with superiors, and colleagues
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
