Job description

Overview

This is an in onsite role in the Raleigh, NC office.

The Depot and Asset Operations team is responsible for managing and maintaining the organization’s IT asset lifecycle. This includes handling asset disposal, tracking and investigating asset records, hardware forecasting, stockroom management, legal hold, and ensuring the accuracy and security of IT assets. The team works closely with various departments to ensure compliance with operational standards for asset management. This position is responsible for providing technical expert operational support for the Infrastructure & Associate Technology Asset Management function.

Responsibilities & QualificationsDuties & Responsibilities:
  • Review hardware requests and conduct needs assessments to ensure alignment with FCB hardware standards.
  • Evaluate hardware purchasing requirements through reporting, analytics, and inventory management.
  • Configure, deploy, maintain, and manage the full hardware lifecycle for end-user devices (cradle-to-grave).
  • Ensure hardware requests are thoroughly reviewed, align with company standards, assigned, and fulfilled within established service level expectations.
  • Maintain adequate hardware inventory to support both normal business operations and disaster recovery (DR) requirements.
  • Assist associates with the hardware ordering process and elevate system or workflow issues to ITSM and governance teams.
  • Partner with internal IT Service Management and governance teams to enhance and develop hardware request systems and workflows.
  • Coordinate asset management activities, including:
    • Equipment pickup requests
    • Termination asset reclamation
    • Quality checks of hardware asset functionality and quality per corporate standards
    • General hardware and equipment requests
  • Collaborate with internal infrastructure teams on process improvements related to Operational Asset Management.
  • Apply industry-standard hardware asset controls and best practices within a regulated financial services environment.
  • Utilize and support ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Problem Management modules, including related workflows.
  • Work independently and collaboratively to resolve issues and complete projects.
  • Support and administer:
    • Microsoft Windows Windows 10/11, Apple macOS, iOS and iPadOS operating systems
    • Microsoft 365 (O365)
    • Active Directory
    • Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM)
    • End-user experience monitoring tools (SysTrack Lakeside, Nexthink)
    • Working knowledge of PC/Mac/IOS, server and infrastructure hardware
  • Support and configure Apple technologies in a managed enterprise environment, including administrative knowledge on:
    • Apple Business Manager
    • Microsoft Intune
    • JAMF
  • Support PC and infrastructure hardware assets within large, highly regulated financial or banking organizations.
Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and 4 years' experience in systems engineering and systems programmer.

OR

High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent and 8 years' experience in systems engineering and systems programmer.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • ServiceNow: Experience in using ServiceNow to track and manage IT assets and tickets.
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel): Proficiency in Excel for data analysis, reporting, and inventory management.
  • Active Directory: Expert knowledge of Active Directory for managing and tracking associate employment.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong ability to maintain data accuracy, ensuring asset records are always up to date and free from errors.
  • Data Accuracy: Prior experience managing large sets of data with a focus on precision and timeliness.
  • Procedure Writing: Ability to document procedures clearly for team use and audit purposes.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication to effectively collaborate across internal associates, departments and with external vendors.
  • Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with IT asset lifecycle management.
  • Understanding of IT security protocols and regulations related to hardware disposal and recovery.
  • Knowledge of legal hold processes and IT compliance standards.
