The Engineer will need to provide consulting and services support for additional state agencies. This position is responsible for the design, implementation and migration of the existing OITS Enterprise Endpoint Security Infrastructure (McAfee/Client Security) to a new Endpoint Security Infrastructure. This position will be the Architect and subject matter expert (SME) capacity. Endpoint Security entails securing all desktop & laptop computers in the environment. The work will involve building, testing, documenting, updating, capacity, test and DR planning of anti-virus, encryption, file integrity monitoring, & data loss prevention products from McAfee/Client Security. This position Duties involve the above tasks as well as meeting with other service owners and customer base to ensure that these services meet the needs within the team and for OITS as a whole in its current state as well as providing a direction for the service going forward. Design, implementation and migration work will involve managing these respective systems as well as assisting operational and desktop support staff in the resolution of advanced problems that arise in this area of responsibility. This position is responsible for, but not limited to, provisioning, tuning, capacity planning, and disaster recovery, patching, upgrading & securing these respective resources for the entire OITS environment. This position will be Responsible for proactively monitor all related systems with available tools to ensure greater system uptime. This position will be Responsible for creating all documentation of process and procedures (Architecture Design, Run books, Support Technician and Customer Operational Documentation, etc...) for areas of responsibility. This position is responsible for ensuring that OITS Infrastructure technology complies with State standards and Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS) as well as incorporates industry best practice in order to meet business needs. This position will interact with other Infrastructure staff, Development, Security and Project Management staff to provide project representation and planning for ongoing IT projects and initiatives. This position will also work with personnel from other Infrastructure areas such as Networking, Operations, Database Support, and Consumer Platforms to aid in problem resolution. This position is responsible for ensuring that the Infrastructure Team remains an active participant in the Change and Release processes.

Qualifications
  • Design, implementation and migration of Endpoint Security McAfee/Client Security product offerings.  We are looking for someone who has had 'hands on' Endpoint Security McAfee/Client Security experience. Experience in managing Endpoint Security app
  • Ability to communicate effectively and interact with customers as well as IT management to assess risk and provide mitigation actions
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills; the ability to communicate technical issues to both technical and non-technical persons
  • Advanced understanding of IT best practices bringing technology and quantified business needs into one appropriate IT solution.
  • Experience in proposing in developing the Architecture and integrating IT solutions that are both efficient and properly managed to ensure that business
  • Operational experience with various operating systems in both a physical and virtual environments.
  • Operational experience with networking standards, materials, tools, and terminology
  • Operational experience with various database technologies as well.
  • Extensive security experience managing solutions in a network segmented datacenter environment
  • Windows Active Directory experience is preferred as well.
