Job Summary

Responsible for the reliable, secure, and efficient provisioning, configuration, operation, automation, and lifecycle management of enterprise infrastructure, including on-premises, cloud, virtualized, and hybrid systems. Supports modern operating systems, middleware, platforms, and business applications while promoting security, resiliency, standardization, and continuous improvement.

Job Responsibilities

  • Installs, configures, maintains, and supports server operating systems and infrastructure platforms across on-premises, virtualized, cloud, and hybrid environments. Coordinates security patching, system upgrades, vulnerability remediation, and lifecycle management activities.
  • Implements and maintains automation, scripting, monitoring, and configuration management practices to improve reliability, reduce manual effort, and support consistent system builds and operational processes.
  • Administers and supports Microsoft Exchange, Exchange Online, and related messaging services, including mail flow, transport rules, shared mailboxes, retention policies, message tracing, and hybrid connectivity as applicable.
  • Evaluates, troubleshoots, and resolves operating system, hardware, network, cloud, storage, and platform-related issues, coordinating with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders as needed.
  • Maintains backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes to protect data, minimize downtime, and support recovery objectives.
  • Monitors system health, performance, capacity, security posture, and availability using modern observability and alerting tools; recommends improvements based on trends, risks, and operational needs.
  • Provides technical support, incident response, root-cause analysis, documentation, and knowledge transfer for infrastructure services and related business applications.

Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, server administration, cloud or hybrid platform support, and enterprise operations
  • Strong knowledge of virtualization, VMware, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, cloud infrastructure, identity services, networking fundamentals, and related enterprise platforms
  • Experience with scripting, automation, infrastructure-as-code concepts, monitoring tools, PowerShell, and Python preferred
  • Experience supporting security patching, vulnerability management, endpoint/server hardening, backup and recovery, and operational resiliency practices
  • Microsoft Professional Certification and Linux (in at least two core technologies) preferred

  • Knowledge and understanding of business processes, technology dependencies, security expectations, service availability needs, and operational risk in the context of the company's business
  • Knowledge of current infrastructure trends, including cloud adoption, hybrid management, automation, monitoring, endpoint/server security, identity and access management, and resiliency planning

  • Strong project and change management skills, including planning, organizing, monitoring, coordinating resources, and executing work within approved maintenance windows and deadlines

Salary range$77,000 to $96,000. Ultimate salary offered will be based on factors such as applicant experience and geographic location. Our company offers a competitive benefits package and bonus eligibility on top of base.
