JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IT Intern to support day-to-day technology operations across the organization. This role will work closely with our Office Manager and external IT partner to ensure systems, devices, and users are effectively supported. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone looking to gain real-world experience in IT support, systems coordination, and business operations within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide front-line support for basic IT requests (hardware, software, access issues)
  • Coordinate tickets and follow-ups with our external IT service provider
  • Assist with new hire onboarding/offboarding setup (laptops, accounts, system access)
  • Support device setup, troubleshooting, and inventory tracking (laptops, monitors, peripherals)
  • Help maintain and organize IT documentation, processes, and asset records
  • Assist the Office Manager with technology-related office needs (conference rooms, printers, Teams/Zoom setup)
  • Monitor and escalate cybersecurity concerns or unusual activity
  • Support software rollouts, updates, and system improvements as needed
  • Assist with general administrative and operational tasks tied to IT and office functions


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and networks
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn
  • Excellent organization, follow-through, and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical users
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Professional, team-oriented attitude with a customer service mindset
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Teams, Outlook, and SharePoint (preferred)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The work environment described here reflects the conditions an employee may encounter while performing the essential functions of this role. The position is primarily office-based, requiring the ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working at a computer and frequently using standard office equipment. The role also involves occasional lifting and movement of equipment (up to 25โ€“40 pounds), as well as moving throughout the office or job sites to support setup and troubleshooting. At times, the position may require bending, reaching, or kneeling when working with hardware, along with the visual ability to read screens and small components.
