What You Will Do
Are you ready to dive into an internship where you'll support and explore Carroll County Government's Technology Services? As a Technology Services Intern, you'll play an active role in supporting a variety of activities within our Technology Services Office. This will include working with both the Client Services Team and Networking Team. There will be a wide range of activities such as hardware replacements for employees, assisting with deployments of network hardware, writing test cases, organizing files and equipment, performing system testing. You'll also be working closely under the supervision of the managers of those teams, gaining hands-on experience and valuable insights along the way. Essential Duties
  • Support daily activities of the Technology Services Department - specifically the Client Services & Networking Teams
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical problems reported by clients and vendors.
  • Shadow and assist technicians with hardware replacements or assist with physical deployment of network hardware.
  • Create documentation for Technology Services such as knowledge articles, test cases, and workflows.
  • Assist technology teams with organizing and scanning files, archiving documents.
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations. Assist in the maintenance of a clean, orderly, and safe work environment.
  • Complete assigned work in a timely fashion. Accept feedback.
  • Demonstrate an ability to collaborate and a willingness to learn. Participate in a supportive work environment.
  • Exhibit integrity, ethics, and fiscal responsibility.
