Job description

Worthington Enterprises is looking for a Security Systems Manager to be accountable for ensuring all security technology operations of corporate security operations are developed, integrated, and maintained at all Worthington Enterprises (WE) facilities. Additionally, this role will serve as the point-of-contact for all physical security IT systems and services for enterprise infrastructure supporting multiple component agencies. This position will be the subject matter expert in aligning physical security strategy with available technology solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain security technology solutions for physical security products, platforms, and infrastructure

  • Point-of-contact between IT and onsite vendors to design, modify, and implement technical security solutions at all WE facilities

  • Responsible and accountable for all engineering aspects of security technologies, with a specific focus on a centralized solution model of Visitor Management, Access Control, Security Video integration, and intrusion detection

  • Support and build upon the capabilities of the Security Operations Center (SOC) for enterprise level security monitoring

  • Participate in determining security requirements, risk mitigation and information security solutions, and updating/testing the security and incident response plans

  • Monitor the operation of security technology infrastructure and recommend corrective action, improvements, and modifications as necessary

  • Guide and support Corporate Security team's technology programs, process development, defining and measuring success, maintaining production systems, and managing product lifecycles

  • Provide in-depth technical security advice to the Corporate Security team

  • Keeps informed about the latest industry news, trends, products, services, and relevant existing and emerging technologies related to security technology

  • Provides technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology

  • Serves as first line for troubleshooting and fixing security technology systems

  • Prepared to travel to any national location for service or project management

  • Other Duties as Assigned

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and listening skills

  • The proven ability to design and deploy sophisticated systems from varying stages of maturity

  • Experience leading and managing across geographical and administrative boundaries

  • Excellent understanding and experience in multiple security domains such as intrusion detection, visitor management, video surveillance, access control, and environmental engineering controls

  • Certified in Lenel access control systems and Milestone video management systems (ability to maintain certifications)

  • Ability to troubleshoot system failures in both Lenel and Milestone systems

  • Experience managing both large and small security technology projects from building out scope requirements to execution of installation and programing

  • BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or the equivalent in experience

  • 5-7 years of experience in physical security technology and technical project management

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

  • While it is not commonplace, the ideal candidate must be available to respond as needed on a 24/7 basis; available after hours, during weekends and holidays

  • Required to be on-site 5 days/week at our Columbus, OH headquarters

  • Must be able to work outdoors and commute to a variety of field operations that may include periods of overnight travel

  • 45% travel
