Job Summary
Elizabethtown Community & Technical College invites applications for an Information Security Adjunct Instructor starting Summer of 2024. This part-time faculty position will provide instruction for evening courses at Fort Knox, which will be broadcast to other campuses. Successful applicants will have a Security+ Certificate, a Master's degree in CIT or a related field, and experience in Linux.
Job Duties:
1. Preparing course plans and materials
2. Delivering courses
3. Monitoring progress/attendance
4. Recording grades and submitting reports
5. Providing feedback to students
Minimum Qualifications:
Eighteen graduate hours in the teaching discipline, a Master's degree and a Security+ Certificate.
Preferred Qualifications:
Additional Skills Requested:
A firm knowledge of security; Linux; compliance and operational security; threats and vulnerabilities; network security; application, data, and host security; access control and identity management; and cryptography. Helps to prepare students for the COMPTIA Security+ examination.
