THE TEAM
As part of the Engineering Division, which focuses on ensuring the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of all hotel assets, this role contributes to the strategic and operational excellence of the property. You will report directly to the Director of Engineering, collaborating closely with senior leadership, cross-functional departments, and external partners to uphold Rosewood's standards of luxury and innovation.
YOUR ROLE
As Director of Security, you will lead the strategic direction and daily operations of the Security Department, ensuring the optimal safety and wellbeing of the estate's guests and protection of the related assets. You will play a key role in delivering safe operations, regulatory compliance, and guest satisfaction, while fostering a culture of excellence and innovation. This role is instrumental in shaping the future of the property through capital planning, sustainability initiatives, and team development.
HOW YOU'LL MAKE THE PLACE
  • Lead the day-to-day security operations across the entire resort.
  • Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure 24-hour security coverage for all operational areas as needed.
  • Manage outsourced security providers and ensure contractual compliance and service excellence as required.
  • Conduct regular patrols and inspections of guest, associate, back-of-house, and perimeter areas.
  • Oversee access control systems, visitor management, and key control procedures.
  • Ensure effective CCTV surveillance and monitoring systems are maintained.
  • Develop and maintain the resort's comprehensive Risk Register.
  • Conduct regular security and operational risk assessments across all departments.
  • Identify vulnerabilities and implement mitigation plans.
  • Carry out routine safety inspections of guest and associate areas.

  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, fire codes, and internal safety policies.
  • Represent Security in management and associate meetings, fostering cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Support pre-opening strategy and execution, overseeing all activities within the Security Department, in close partnership with peers and the corporate team.
  • Maintain readiness for Operational Management Reviews (OMR) and ensure timely follow-up on corrective actions.
  • Develop and update departmental policies and manuals to ensure consistency across the group.
  • Build and lead a technically competent and motivated Security team through recruitment, training, and succession planning.
  • Promote associate engagement through regular communication, recognition programs, and performance feedback.
  • Uphold discipline and support grievance procedures in partnership with Talent & Culture.
  • Model Rosewood's culture, vision, and values in all interactions and leadership practices.

  • You hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in security management, or related field.
  • You have proven experience in leading a Security department at a senior management level.
  • You demonstrate strong strategic thinking and project management capabilities.
  • You show solid business acumen and have experience managing complex budgets, including capital expenditure.
  • You possess excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • You manage relationships effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • You are knowledge of the steps required to meet or exceed compliance with all Fire & Life Safety standards.
  • You have previously contributed to the successful pre-opening of a luxury hotel.
  • You maintain a guest-centric mindset with a strong commitment to service excellence.
  • You apply an analytical, data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Your experience in hospitality or luxury environments further strengthens your profile.

PAY TRANSPARENCY
The salary range for this position is $95,000 - $106,000annually. This is the pay range for this position that the company reasonably expects to pay. This position may be eligible for bonuses. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on several factors, such as experience, type of experience, location, and education.
