Job description

Position Overview

The family law attorney's mission is to 1) serve clients concerned about the impact of divorce on their reputation, and 2) help develop the business infrastructure for a family law practice. This includes developing tiered subscription and flat fee pricing structures and developing a client intake workflow. The firm intends to expand into family law because its historical practice area—defamation—consistently overlaps with family law matters. Accordingly, a successful candidate may also gain exposure to our core defamation and internet reputational law practice.

Goals

•      Legal Outcomes: Following an initial ramp-up period, independently manage a full family law caseload, including divorces, from intake through resolution, with no oversight.

•      Business Outcomes: Implement pricing strategy and intake process sufficient to reach a $450,000 annualized run rate by month 12. Because we use alternative fee arrangements rather than billable hours, the family law attorney will help develop tiered and flat-fee structures for divorce matters.

•      Client Satisfaction Outcomes: Ensure client satisfaction through prompt delivery of document drafts and legal analysis.

Qualifications

•      At least 4 years of experience in family law, sufficient to independently handle a full caseload without oversight.

•      Litigation experience, including contested hearings; trial experience a plus.

•      Initiative in implementing legal, business, and client satisfaction strategies.

•      Attention to detail: ensures polished, typo-free work, with adherence to applicable citation standards.

•      Enthusiasm to contribute from prior experience, and to learn new ideas.

Additional Information

Remote work: Our practice is predominantly virtual, but be prepared for in-person trials, hearings, oral arguments, and depositions across Florida.

Compensation and benefits: Salary range is $140,000 to $180,000 for full-time work, commensurate with experience. Part-time work is available at proportionately reduced rates, if preferred. Benefits are negotiable.

Flexible work hours: Workload and hours are negotiable.
