Position: MDM Business Analyst – Finance Master (GL / Profit Center / Cost Center)

Location: Remote

Duration: Long term contract

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced MDM Business Analyst with deep expertise in Finance Master Data, specifically General Ledger (GL), Profit Center (PC), and Cost Center (CC) domains. The ideal candidate will work closely with Finance, ERP, and IT stakeholders to define, govern, and deliver high-quality master data solutions across SAP ERP, CFIN, and Oracle ERP environments. Exposure to Supplier Master and Customer Master domains is also required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Finance Master Data (Primary Focus)
  • Act as the primary Business Analyst for Finance Master Data covering GL, Profit Center, and Cost Center.
  • Gather and document business requirements for finance master data creation, updates, extensions, and governance workflows.
  • Define golden attributes, hierarchies, validations, and lifecycle processes for finance master entities.
  • Work closely with Finance teams to align master data definitions with accounting, reporting, and compliance requirements.
  • Support finance transformations involving SAP ECC/S4, SAP CFIN, and Oracle ERP systems.

ERP & Integration Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with SAP and Oracle functional teams to ensure accurate master data integration across ERPs
  • Support integration flows between MDM platforms and downstream systems (SAP, Oracle, reporting platforms).
  • Understand ERP-specific master data structures and mapping logic for GL/PC/CC.
  • Participate in data reconciliation, issue resolution, and post-deployment validation.
  • MDM & Governance
  • Work with MDM platforms (e.g., Informatica MDM / IDMC / R360 or equivalent).
  • Define governance models, approval workflows, and stewardship processes.
  • Support data quality rules, validations, and exception handling.
  • Participate in data governance councils and stewardship forums.
  • Supplier & Customer Master (Secondary Focus)
  • Support business analysis for Supplier Master and Customer Master data domains.
  • Gather requirements for onboarding, updates, and enrichment of supplier and customer data.
  • Align supplier/customer master definitions with ERP, compliance, and reporting needs.
  • Assist in cross-domain dependency analysis (e.g., finance–supplier–customer relationships).
  • Documentation & Stakeholder Management
  • Create and maintain BRDs, FRDs, process flows, data dictionaries, and functional specifications.
  • Facilitate workshops, design sessions, and stakeholder reviews.
  • Act as a bridge between business users, MDM teams, ERP teams, and integration teams.
  • Support UAT, defect triage, and release sign-offs.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Must-Have Skills:

  • Strong experience as an MDM Business Analyst with focus on Finance Master Data.
  • Hands-on knowledge of GL, Profit Center, and Cost Center concepts.
  • Working knowledge of SAP ERP (ECC/S4), SAP CFIN, and Oracle ERP.
  • Experience with MDM platforms (Informatica MDM / IDMC preferred).
  • Strong understanding of master data governance, workflows, and data quality.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
