Job description

Job Summary:

This position will be responsible for the planning and execution of company forecast and production schedule to support the operational goal of on-time shipments. This position will interface with Sales to develop a Sales and Operations Plan and translate customer orders and sales forecasts into achievable manufacturing schedules and level loading of the manufacturing facility. This is a highly cross-functional role partnering with operations, supply chain, sales, and customer service to anticipate constraints, resolve shortages, and maintain a forward-looking Master Production Schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

Act as a super user for the ERP system, ensuring complete understanding of the database constructs, reporting, and system navigation.

Liaise with the sales team to generate a S&OP and translate that into an accurate production forecast.

Monitor orders in process to keep informed of manufacturing status, and when needed, initiate the necessary steps to maintain conformity with schedules.

Work closely with customer service, production, and the sales team to make daily adjustments to the schedule to manage unforeseen events.

No direct supervision responsibility but gives direction to the Buyers, Planners and Operations staff regarding the production schedule.

Prepare reports of safety stock and delivery performance and communicate results to the senior leaders and Supply Chain Manager.

Collaborate with production and supply chain personnel to ensure streamlined operations.

Create and publish weekly build schedules and host production meetings to distribute and modify plan as needed.

Participate in cost reduction efforts

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with 5 years of experience scheduling/forecasting.

High level of knowledge of the supply/demand process and analysis.

Self-motivated and able to interface with numerous departments.

Strong organizational skills and strong written and communication skills.

Excellent analytical skills.

High level Microsoft Office skills.

Extensive knowledge of ERP systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

10+ years of experience scheduling / forecasting.

Extensive knowledge of Infor Syteline (CSI ) ERP software.

APICS certification.

Experience in a technology company with complex electronic assemblies.
