Job description

Ideally the individual will be located in the Milwaukee, WI area however we are open to a fully remote position.  

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced ERP Systems Analyst to support, enhance, and administer our manufacturing ERP environment. This position will primarily support Infor XA, IBM i applications, databases, integrations, reporting tools, and related manufacturing systems.

The ideal candidate combines strong ERP programming and database skills with practical knowledge of manufacturing operations. This individual will work closely with manufacturing, supply chain, finance, engineering, customer service, and IT teams to resolve system issues, automate processes, improve data accuracy, and develop sustainable ERP solutions.

Direct Infor XA or MAPICS experience is strongly preferred. Candidates with comparable manufacturing ERP and IBM i/AS400 experience will also be considered

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Administer, configure, maintain, and support Infor XA and related business applications.
  • Develop, modify, test, and document ERP programs, reports, interfaces, queries, and system enhancements.
  • Support applications using RPG, ILE RPG, CL, CLLE, DB2, SQL, Query/400, and related IBM i technologies.
  • Troubleshoot ERP application, database, interface, reporting, performance, and data-integrity issues.
  • Support manufacturing processes including production planning, MRP, bills of material, routings, work orders, inventory, purchasing, costing, shipping, and order processing.
  • Translate business requirements into system configurations, technical specifications, reports, workflows, and programming solutions.
  • Monitor scheduled jobs, batch processes, interfaces, error logs, and overall application availability.
  • Support ERP upgrades, patches, testing, production deployments, data conversions, and system integrations.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot EDI transactions and integrations with customers, suppliers, and third-party providers.
  • Develop operational reports, database queries, data extracts, and Power BI solutions when applicable.
  • Provide professional and responsive technical support to users at all levels of the organization.
  • Maintain technical documentation, support procedures, and knowledge-base materials.

Required Qualifications:

  • Five or more years of experience supporting, administering, developing, or programming a manufacturing ERP system.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and their relationship to ERP systems.
  • Experience with IBM i, iSeries
  • Working knowledge of several of the following:
    • RPG III, RPG IV, or ILE RPG
    • CL or CLLE
    • DB2 for IBM i
    • SQL
    • Query/400
    • Relational database concepts and file structures
  • Ability to analyze existing programs, databases, interfaces, and business logic.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex application, data, and process-related issues.
  • Strong customer-service, communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively to production-critical issues.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct experience with Infor XA, MAPICS, Power-Link, System-Link, or Enterprise Integrator.
  • Experience supporting EDI platforms, transaction mappings, and trading-partner integrations.
  • Power BI, data modeling, dashboard, or business-intelligence experience.
  • Experience with APIs, middleware, web services, or application-integration platforms.
  • Additional experience with PowerShell, Python, Java, C#, JavaScript, .NET, or other programming languages.
  • Experience supporting multi-site manufacturing operations, ERP upgrades, system implementations, or plant integrations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent professional experience may be considered
