Job description

Our agency is looking for a confident and highly motivated individual that's interested in a great sales opportunity. Great earnings with future long term career advancement available. The primary responsibility for this position is to write new personal, commercial, and life insurance accounts. The primary target markets will be preferred Home, Auto, Umbrella personal lines accounts and small to mid-size commercial lines accounts.As an Insurance Sales Representative you will make outbound calls to generate appointments and market a wide range of insurance products and services. Responsibilities
  • Assists the agency in meeting new business production goals and objectives as established.
  • Pre-qualify insurance prospects for insurability and quality of risk, identifies the client’s insurance needs, gaps in coverage, and loss exposures (insurable and uninsurable), and obtains accurate information from the prospects.
  • Maintain a concern for timeliness and completeness when interacting with clients, agency, and company personnel to minimize potential for error or omission claims, and accurately documents client files and electronic files as to coverage discussions, quotes, declination, and coverage change or declines.
  • Build and maintain relationships with multiple insurance companies and brokers to negotiate and obtain quotes, binders, and endorsements.
  • Makes decisions regarding the resolution of customer service problems by researching and verifying solutions to coverage, audit, claim, and billing issues in a timely manner.
  • Anticipate, meet and/or exceed customer needs, wants and expectations while effectively communicating, building rapport and relating well to clients, carrier personnel, and co-workers.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Must have 3-7 years experience in sales
  • Proficiency to multi-task, follow-thru and follow-up.
  • Excellent Communication/interpersonal skills.
  • Be capable of handling customer rejection.
  • Solution driven problem-solving skills and proven analytical skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced-level proficiency with Microsoft Office Products: Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Effective, professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Candidates must hold an active Property Casualty insurance license. A Life Health insurance license is preferred; however, we are willing to train the right candidate to obtain this license.
