As one of the largest centers in the metropolitan area treating infertility, for 25+ years ACRM has provided care in Advanced Reproductive Technologies (ART), including in-vitro fertilization (IVF), pre-genetic diagnosis (PGD), and egg recipiency. Atlanta Center for Reproductive Medicine is looking for a full-time Clinical Medical Assistant to join our growing team. This position is an integral part of our team and vital to helping us create a smooth and personal experience for each of our patients. The ideal candidate will demonstrate they are able to contribute to, engage, and work well in a close-knit team atmosphere. Every member of our staff plays a critical role in care operations and therefore must be able to assume ownership of their responsibilities. Applicant must be mature, self-directed, well organized, thorough, well spoken, and a quick learner. We're looking for someone with a warm, calm personality that presents professionally to our patients.


This is a full time 40 hours a week position at the Sandy Springs office from approximately 7:00am - 3:30pm plus rotating weekend and holidays from 7:00 to approximately 12:00pm.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Medical Assistant is responsible for providing support to clinical staff to ensure smooth flow of information, routine clinical procedural preparedness, set-up, continuity, and communication.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Checks and records vital signs

Administers injections

Performs blood draw procedures

Accurately labels blood/urine samples

Ensures proper amount of blood/urine is taken/obtained

Processes labs and submits requisitions

Enters labs into the patient's EMR chart

Calls patients with lab results and answers questions as needed

Assists with nursing staff with call backs

Assists in the performance of ultrasound scans

Assists with clinical procedures and set-up

Enter patient insurance information into system

Submits patient prescription orders to pharmacy

Schedules appointments

Maintains patient flow throughout the office

Opens, cleans, and closes exam rooms and bathrooms

Orders supplies and stocking exam rooms and bathrooms

Cleans and sterilizes equipment and updates maintenance log

Logs and scans consent forms and documents

Prints medical records as needed

Enters, changes, and updates diagnosis codes when needed

Works on other related projects as needed

Provides back up support to other areas as needed

Requirements

High School Diploma

Some vocational training preferred

Medical Assistant certification-recommended

2 plus years' experience in Clinical Medical Assistant position

Excellent attendance and punctuality commitment

Demonstrated ability to work effectively in teams and individually
